Lightworks editor gets upgrade

A new Windows release of the Lightworks video editor has just become available after much beta testing

Version 11.1 can be downloaded from www.lwks.com/downloads and is free to try out for thirty days after which it still works but various features are disabled until you pay the nominal annual fee of £40 to unlock them.

The new release includes improvements for native MP4/H.264 .mov handling without using QuickTime, 48fps file support, and BlackMagic I/O support along with a string of other enhancements.

A new licensing system has also been introduced which has some changes and limitations over the previous HASP system. There’s more information in the updated documentation on the downloads page (above)
