New Lens System for iPhone 5

Ultra-mobile videographers with an Apple fetish will be no doubt pleased to hear of new lens add-ons for the iPhone 5 from Schneider Optics.

The “iPro Lens” system offers interchangeable macro, wide angle, super wide, fisheye, and telephoto lenses. The company says the add-ons are simple to use and store in an integral case that doubles as a handle. The lenses latch onto a custom case via a bayonet mount.

The fisheye lens offers 180 degrees of view, while the super wide doubles the field of view of the iPhone’s camera to 150 degrees.

Existing lenses for the iPhone 4 and 4S will work on the iPhone 5 by upgrading to a new case which features a bayonet mount to accept both the original iPro optics and the new Series 2 lenses.
