New keyer for FCP & Premiere

Red Giant Software has released its Primatte Keyer 5.1 which now adds support for Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple Motion as well as its existing support for After Effects.

The software enables editors to replace a background chromakey (“green screen”) with an image of their choice and includes features such as a one-button automatic key, a tool to correct uneven lighting on the green screen, and compositing tools such as light wraps to make the effect more realistic.

The company says Primatte Keyer 5.1 runs on Windows and Mac and is compatible with:

  • After Effects: CC (2014), CC, CS6, CS5.5, CS5
  • Premiere Pro: CC (2014), CC, CS6
  • Final Cut Pro X: 10.0.9 and later
  • Motion: 5.0.4 and later
