More distribution for Vimeo On Demand

Video hosting service Vimeo is expanding its reach for those videos on the site that are sold as pay-per-view.

The site’s begun teaming up with various other websites to integrate content into those third-parties which Vimeo says means greater distribution for creators and therefore more revenue opportunities.

It could also boost – or at least help to retain – traffic for the partner websites, though if too many sites start doing it the effect is somewhat diluted presumably. It also means viewers won’t have to go to Vimeo.com to watch the stuff if they can get it directly embedded elsewhere.

Sites include the US TVGuide.com.
