Rotolight launch DSLR microphone
Rotolight, manufacturers of circular LED lighting products, has decided to enter the camera-top shotgun microphone fray, taking on the likes of Rode, Sennheiser, Hahnel and Que Audio.
Their new Rotomic costs £71.99 GBP including VAT (UK sales tax). It’s said to have a 40Hz to 20kHz frequency response and a (9V) battery life of 100 hours

Like some competing products, the mic body offers a switchable gain of -10dB / 0 / +10dB, has a switchable 80Hz high pass filter, and has an integral shockmount. A fluffy windjammer and foam windshield are also part of the pack.
It’s also available in a bundle deal with a Rotolight which slips around the mic body, for £180.
