Beta update for Goldwave

Legendary (we think that’s a fair description) audio editor Goldwave is embarking on a new chapter of its life as Version 6 – Beta – has just been released for testing.

The multi-talented stereo, destructive editor is now fully 64-bit which should mean greater speed and ability to handle larger files. On the downside it now requires Windows 7 (64 bit) or later to work.

The other major change is support for multichannel (not multi-track) audio, in other words surround-sound formats like 5.1

The author says larger tool bar buttons, themes, and other interface changes have been made to improve usability. The help file has also been updated.
