Update for Panasonic camcorder
Panasonic has released a firmware update for its semi-pro AG-AC90 handheld camcorder and there’s quite an extensive list of tweaks to the unit’s functions.
Some of the most useful include a function to copy files between cards in each of the two slots; additional recording modes including low-res low-bitrate ones for proxy files or sending files over a slow network; the ability to record a timestamp over video; improvements to the white balance; new on-screen markers; support for Eye-Fi (WiFi SDHC) cards; and – we like this one especially – a method of preventing yourself accidentally switching on the colour bars during filming. We’ve done that so many times!
