YouTube starts new “new features” show

Apparently in response to demand from its legions of video creators, YouTube has begun its own new show which outlines concepts the company is working on that are yet to be released.

“Creator Preview” – snappy title – will be released “regularly” (no actual specifics on that from YouTube) and the first edition looks like this:

Already in store, says YouTube are:

  • A separate mobile app that puts the creator features you told us were most important to have in the palm of your hand, right when you need them
  • A feature that allows fans to fund their favorite creators on YouTube
  • A way to harness the power of the crowd to create captions and subtitles for your videos in 60+ languages
