YouTube “Creator Studio” for iOS now online
Hot on the heels of its announcement of a new App-based version of its Creator Studio interface, which was made available for Android a couple of weeks or so ago, YouTube has just unleashed the Apple version into the iTunes Store.
The App, which is designed for those who create and upload videos to YouTube rather than those who sit back and watch, enables Creators to amend individual video details (title, description etc), select notifications to get as alerts on your phone, deal with and respond to comments (hooray!!) as well as take a look at an App-oriented version of YouTube analytics for both the channel and individual videos. No more will Creators be poring over the own channel’s listing on the YouTube player App to work out if their views have gone up.
If you have more than one YouTube channel, fear not as the App enables you to switch between them without reloading.
Frankly, it’s about time but nonetheless we’re very excited about it and are downloading even as we type this…
The App requires iOS 7.0 or later and works with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch though it’s optimised for iPhone 5. Get it at: https://itunes.apple.com/app/youtube-creator-studio/id888530356
There’s also a new Support page at Google for users of the App – click onto https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6048505?ref_topic=6048525&rd=1
