New lenses from Panasonic
Panasonic has announced two new “micro 4/3” lenses for its Lumix G range of cameras, including of course the camera so beloved of filmic videomakers, the GH4.
The H-HS030E is a 30mm macro lens and the H-HS043E is a 42.5mm portrait lens.
The company describes the former as being equivalent to a 60mm lens on a 35mm camera and has an aperture of f2.8. It’s said to have a minimum focus distance of 0.105 m. Panasonic claim the metal mount means durability and reliability in regular use and say it has multi-coated lens elements to minimise ghosting and flaring. The lens boasts a 240 fps Drive autofocus and optical image stabilisation.
It’s available from May.
The second lens is available in metallic black and silver and offers a 35mm camera equivalent of 85mm with an f1.7 aperture and focusing distance of 0.31 m.
It also has a stabilisation system plus 240 fps drive autofocus and is also available in May.
