Premiere Pro gets Update from the Cloud

Less than a month after its software was despatched to the “Creative Cloud” – aka an Internet-based subscription-only payment model – Adobe has released its first updates for video editing software Premiere Pro.

Version 7.0.1 includes 25 bug fixes and feature enhancements, most of which appear to be minor tweaks though the list does include some things you’d imagine would surely have been there for years, such as dragging clips directly from the Finder / Explorer into the Source Monitor. And now you can make a genuine duplicate of a title without it being a reference back to the original (ie the copy can be edited independently).

For the full list of changes, take a look at http://blogs.adobe.com/premierepro/2013/07/ppro-cc-july-2013-update.html

Users who refuse to join the monthly subscription plan and prefer to stick with owning a copy of CS6 will have a bugfix release coming soon, according to Adobe.
