Grass Valley Corp has released an update to its latest version of editing software, Edius. Version 7.01 – available for download from – sorts out 22 miscellanous bugs ranging from inability to playback certain specific file types, to freezes, crashes and odd display issues.

The company admits the 64-bit program still suffers from five known problems including timeline playback which halts repeatedly if the CPU has fewer than four cores, and errors with mpeg-2 Variable BitRate exports.
