More Cinema Camera news…

After yesterday’s surprise price slash (which is now £30 less of a price slash than when it was first announced, for reasons we don’t know) on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, comes news of a software update bringing storage heaven to owners of the device.

Until now, the little camera and its bigger brother variants have all shot in the memory-intensive formats of RAW or ProRes HQ.

Now with firmware v1.8.2 you can add lower-bitrate versions of ProRes to that list, namely ProRes 422, LT and Proxy so your SD cards will last that much longer when shooting. Phew!
