Vimeo logs into Chromecast

You know how annoying it is to watch online video on a teensy little mobile phone screen? You know how Google’s Chromecast makes it possible to stream some videos directly onto your telly instead?

Well now Vimeo has added its player to the list of Chromecast supported apps, which means all that beautifully-shot, arty wonderfulness you can find on Vimeo.com can now be splashed onto your 50″ TV set instead.

At the moment it’s controlled by the iOS app only but the company says it’s working to bring it to more.

You’ll need a Chromecast device plugged into your TV and the latest version of the Vimeo app.
