How many cameras labelled with the “EOS” moniker do you think Canon has produced? One million? Five million?

Wrong; the company’s just announced what it describes as “a new camera-manufacturing milestone” as total production of its film and digital EOS interchangeable-lens cameras has surpassed the 80-million mark.

No, not a typo. 80 million. Not bad going at all, we think. Possibly worth a round of applause and a celebratory cup of tea.
