Quad Audio with DJI Mic 3 & Blackmagic Camera App

Although the DJI Mic 3 can be configured for quad (4 channel) audio, and the Blackmagic Camera App on the iphone can be set to 4 channel too, neither DJI nor Blackmagic were able to confirm that the two would work together, DJI’s website (and the device itself) putting a warning that quad sound “only works with computers and some Sony cameras with an adapter”.
